The small, attractive island municipality of Särkisalo is Kimito-Kemiö´s next door neighbour. This green, verdant country community is well liked by fishermen, they know that here the biggest pike in the country rise to the bait. Individually planned fishing trips are available all year round. You can stay overnight in a cottage on the sea shore, or at a farm. There are also many attractive meeting and conference premises in the municipality.
Or you can take a closer look at it on a
guided bus tour. You can also tour Särskisalo by bike. The Community Association Särfin
has bicycles for rent, and will also provide a route map. There are many nice places to
stop at en route. A coffee shop in a charming 'Granny's Cottage", a village shop and
beer garden at Förby, a grill-cafeteria at the Ulkoluoto, where you can find a ferry
connection over to Kimito-Kemiö, a herb garden, and an island farm where you can enjoy a
delicious fish meal in the shelter of a boathouse. And by the way, should you loose your
